Summer Wedding at Terry Trueblood Recreation Area | Iowa City, Iowa

Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to second shoot the Firmstone wedding at Terry Trueblood Recreation Area in Iowa City, Iowa. It was one of those classic Midwest summer weekends—hot, bright, and full of energy. Lucas and Mere celebrated their love surrounded by the lake views, wildflowers, and open skies that make this spot so special.

One of my favorite things about Terry Trueblood is how versatile it is for photos. The lakefront views, natural greenery, and open fields create a stunning backdrop that works beautifully not just for weddings, but also for elopements, engagement sessions, senior portraits, or family photos.
