A Laid-Back Wedding Celebration | Iowa Elopement Vibes

Earlier this summer, I had the chance to second shoot this beautiful wedding celebration for a couple who had already tied the knot earlier in the week. This wasn’t the “traditional” wedding day—it was a relaxed, intentional reception with friends and family, and they still wore their wedding attire and soaked in every moment like it was the big day.

These kinds of celebrations always remind me of why I love intimate, meaningful moments over big productions. The vibe was easy, fun, and all about connection. It felt like an elopement—but with a few more hugs.

While I don’t photograph full wedding days, I do love capturing intimate elopements and smaller celebrations like this—especially the kind where the pressure’s off, the timeline’s loose, and the joy is real.
