Meet Luna, a beautiful Washington High School senior from the Class of 2026! She was such a joy to work with—sweet, confident, and full of laughter the whole evening.

We started her senior session at a local park, where Luna wore a simple white top with jeans. The soft flowers, stone steps, and tall greenery were the perfect backdrop for this natural, relaxed look. She made it so easy to capture portraits that feel both fun and timeless.

Then we drove just up the road to one of my family’s farms. I love bringing seniors here—it’s quiet, wide open, and it feels like home to me. Luna slipped into a gorgeous white dress, and as the sun set, the tall grass glowed around her. Golden hour is always my favorite time of day—it’s when everything slows down and the photos get that magical, warm feel. We ended the night on the lane with some of my favorite sunset portraits of the whole session.

What I love most about photographing seniors is capturing the genuine feelings and little moments in this season of life. It’s such a unique time—they’re in their last year of being a “kid” and at the same time getting ready to step out into the world on their own. It’s a beautiful, fleeting stage that will fly by, and before they know it, it’ll be graduation day. That’s why I believe these portraits matter so much: they freeze a piece of this moment before it’s gone.

If you’re a Washington, Iowa Class of 2026 senior (or a parent planning ahead!) and you want senior pictures that feel authentic and unique to you, I’d love to help tell your story, too.
