New London Senior | Izzi Class of 2026

Senior year is such a big milestone, and Izzi’s session was a perfect way to celebrate the start of her Class of 2026 year. Izzi is a senior at New London High School, and we captured her senior photos out at Lake Darling in Brighton, Iowa during the fall season.

This session was relaxed, fun, and very her—which is always my goal when photographing high school seniors.

Fall Senior Photos at Lake Darling

Lake Darling is a great spot for senior photos because it offers so much variety in one location. From tall grasses and trees to water views and the bridge, we were able to create a full gallery with different looks without feeling rushed. The fall colors during Izzi’s session added the perfect warm tones and helped her photos feel timeless.

It’s a great option for seniors who want an outdoor session with natural scenery and a laid-back vibe.

Keeping It Simple & True to You

Izzi’s outfits were simple, comfortable, and fit her personality perfectly. Neutral colors and layers photograph beautifully and keep the focus on you, not just what you’re wearing. One thing I always tell my seniors is that confidence shows best when you feel comfortable—there’s no need to overthink it.

If you’re a high school senior planning your photos, choose outfits that feel like something you’d actually wear, just a little more polished.

A Fun, Stress-Free Senior Session Experience

You don’t need to know how to pose or worry about feeling awkward—I guide you the entire time. Izzi did an amazing job just being herself, and that’s what made her session feel so natural. We kept things moving, mixed in some walking and laughing, and focused on capturing genuine expressions.

Senior photos should feel fun, not stressful.

Izzi’s session is a great example of how senior photos don’t have to be complicated to be meaningful. If you’re a Class of 2026 or Class of 2027 senior and haven’t booked your senior photos yet, now is a great time to start planning.
