Nick’s senior session was the perfect example of why simple, classic senior photos never go out of style. We spent a beautiful fall day in Burlington, Iowa, photographing at Starr’s Cave and Snake Alley — two locations that gave us great variety while keeping things relaxed and natural.
These locations were especially meaningful to Nick and his family. His older brother also had senior photos taken in these same areas, and they loved them so much that choosing places with that connection just felt right. It was a fun way to keep things familiar and sentimental while still making Nick’s session completely his own.

Nick is a Class of 2026 senior at Winfield–Mount Union Schools, and while he’s involved in sports, we decided to keep his session laid-back and timeless. No props, no pressure — just classic senior photos that feel true to who he is. That approach fit him perfectly.
He was super easygoing, fun to work with, and up for anything we threw his way. Sessions like this are a great reminder that senior photos don’t have to be a big production, especially for senior guys. A comfortable pace and letting them be themselves goes a long way.

For parents, senior photos mark one of the last big milestones before everything starts to change — graduation, new routines, and new paths ahead. For seniors, it’s often about showing up, getting it done, and maybe enjoying the experience a little more than expected. Nick did just that, and we loved capturing this season of life for him on a beautiful fall day.
If you’re a Class of 2026 or 2027 senior (or a parent starting to plan ahead), this is a great reminder that simple — especially when it’s meaningful — can still be incredibly special.
